If it’s not highlighted, it’s because you haven’t seen the text yet and DDLC Plus defaults to not allowing you to skip content you haven’t seen. To skip dialog quickly, you can press the Skip button at any time during the game. However, there’s a lot of filler and set-up dialog in Act 1 of the game and after playing through it one time, you may not be keen for another round. Or, at the very least, create early saves and backtrack.
